As the weather starts to warm up again, the Argan + Tamanu Clarifying Face Oil gradually becomes the favorite product in my daily routine. It is important to continue with a skincare routine during the summer, but definitely adjust the products you use just like how we would change into a lighter wardrobe.
Our organic facial oils are a blend of plant-based botanical oils that provide deep moisturization without the unnecessary fillers and synthetic ingredients. Our Argan + Tamanu Clarifying Face Oil in particular is a blend of non-comedogenic oils that is quick to absorb, making it one of the best face oil options for oily or blemish-prone skin.
Argan Oil for Balancing Skin’s Oil Production
By adding Argan Oil into our formulation, we introduce a significant source of Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, squalene, and polyphenols. Vitamin E for the skin in particular can help control the skin’s oil production by balancing the sebum levels (basically sending signals to the skin that it already has the perfect balance of oil). No wonder Argan Oil has been used in moroccan skincare for centuries!
Lightweight Texture from Grapeseed Oil
Grapeseed Oil is commonly used in skincare because of its emollient properties — the ability to naturally soothe and soften the skin. When applied topically, this oil can help retain moisture in the skin, and promote skin repair. The lightweight texture of Grapeseed Oil makes it for perfect absorption in the warm summer weather.
Tamanu Oil for Soothing the Skin
Cold-pressed from the nut kernels of Ati trees, the benefits for using Tamanu Oil for the skin are plenty. It is known to promote the formation of new tissues, hence helping to accelerate wound healing and promoting healthy skin. For centuries in Southeast Asia, Tamanu Oil has been used to soothe various skin ailments, including acne scars and even sunburns.
Moisturizing with Moringa Oil
Generally the skin tends to be more oily in the summer, but we highly recommend for people to continue moisturizing to protect the skin’s barrier. Moringa Oil is similar to the oils naturally produced by the skin, making it an ideal moisturizer. Additionally, it is naturally rich in oleic acid (omega 9), which makes it a great moisturizing option for dry and sensitive skin.
Neem Oil for Anti-Inflammatory Benefits
Neem Oil is commonly used in skincare products because it is naturally rich in carotenoids and linoleic acids (Omega 6). To name a few, carotenoids are known to help with skin damage and hyperpigmentation caused by UV radiation or acne. Linoleic acids have anti-inflammatory properties, making Neem Oil great for soothing skin irritation and inflammation.
The subtle notes of Jasmine Sambac and Lavender will provide a calming and balancing effect for healthier looking skin. This facial oil was spotted on the Refinery 29 when it was first launched — thanks for the love!
