by SCHMEAR Naturals |

Have a hard time deciding which face mask will work best for your skin? Look no further than our superfood face mask powders, designed to bring the same level of comfort and benefits as using ingredients straight from your kitchen. Keep reading to find out which mask is best for you and your skin!

Kale + Spirulina Clarifying Face Mask

Green Kale + Spirulina Superfood Clarifying Face Mask

This deep green superfood face mask is formulated to help decongest your skin of the excess oil and grime after a long day of work. At the end of the night, I often reach for this face mask to help clarify and detoxify. The added coconut charcoal helps to absorb the skin’s impurities and unclog pores, while the walnut shell powder provides a gentle exfoliation (it’s more fine than the apricot seed meal we used to use!).

My favorite way of using this mask is as a spot treatment on those pesky blemishes. I’ll dab a small amount to cover the blemish and leave it overnight. The next morning I’ll find that the blemish will have shrunk down, and less inflamed.

  • Skin types: All skin types, but best for oily, blemish-prone, acne-prone skin
  • Benefits: Decongesting, cleansing, exfoliating, promotes skin healing, refreshing
  • Hero Ingredients and Benefits:
    • Kale + Spirulina - Rich in chlorophyll and micronutrients to fortify skin barrier
    • Coconut Charcoal - Removes deep impurities, unclogs pores and excess oil
    • Walnut - Gently exfoliating to remove dead skin

    • Tea Tree + Bergamot - Clarifying and refreshing. Tea tree is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, perfect for blemish-prone skin

How to use

Mix 1 teaspoon of powder with around 2 teaspoons of water to desired consistency. SCHMEAR a thin layer on your face, and allow to dry for around 10 minutes. When the mask is just about dry, wash off with warm water, and follow-up with your favorite toner and moisturizer. Use it a few times a week for the best results. Mask powders can be mixed with water, tea (antioxidants), honey/agave (anti-inflammatory) or yogurt/vegan yogurt (exfoliating) for extra benefits.
