5 Ways to Customize SCHMEAR Superfood Powder Face Masks

The real beauty of our superfood powder face masks is that they’re customizable to your skin’s needs. To do that, we’ve cooked up five recipes in our kitchens for you to try! As always, we recommend using organic ingredients where possible.

A Classic Blend

  • 1 teaspoon superfood mask
  • 2 teaspoons water

Sometimes, at the end of the day, you just want an easy, fun blend. Each of our masks are formulated to be clarifying, jam-packed with antioxidants, and soothing on their own - and all you need to do is add water!

Mix the two ingredients together until they reach a creamy consistency, apply on cleansed skin and rinse off after 10 minutes. Pat dry - and enjoy smooth, nourished skin.

Black Tea for Depuffing

  • 1 teaspoon superfood mask
  • 2 teaspoons black tea

This fragrant blend is perfect for when you want to brew a cup for the night and relax. The caffeine content in black tea helps reduce puffiness and brighten your skin for a healthy glow, while tannins are antioxidant and provide anti-inflammatory properties. 

Again, mix the two ingredients together, apply on cleansed skin for 10 minutes, rinse, and pat dry. Finish off your routine with a freshly-brewed cup of black tea and relax.

Honey for Soothing & Hydrating

  • 1 teaspoon superfood mask
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Sweeten your masking routine with some honey - it’s chock full of antioxidants and offers great anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and moisturizing properties. This recipe will be a delight in soothing any breakouts or sensitive skin. 

Combine both ingredients and apply for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water then pat dry - and enjoy how soft your skin will feel after.

Plain Yogurt for Brightening

  • 1 teaspoon superfood mask
  • 2 teaspoons plain yogurt'

Plain yogurt isn’t just great for your gut - it’s also great for your skin! The probiotics in yogurt help hydrate your skin barrier while the lactic acid gently exfoliates. This combination leaves your skin feeling baby-soft and glowing. 

Mix the ingredients together into a creamy blend, applying for 10 minutes. Follow by rinsing it off with warm water and pat dry.

Olive Oil for Moisturizing

  • 1 teaspoon superfood mask
  • ½ teaspoon extra virgin olive oil

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in not only flavour, but nutrients! Its oleic acid and vitamin E content are excellent for moisturizing dry skin and improving skin elasticity. This silky blend is best used as an occasional treat for your skin, to leave it soft and hydrated. 

Combine both ingredients into a thicker consistency. Apply the mask for 10 minutes, then rinse off with warm water, patting your skin dry.
